I just read the synopsis for Ruby Sparks on Wikipedia. The below gif accurately sums up my reaction:

Honestly, it reads like some unholy hybrid of Mannequin, Stranger Than Fiction & any other “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” male wish-fulfillment flick you could care to name. Ugh.
