I’d like to find out what Doctors the tumblr fandom like.
Mine are:
1. Jon Pertwee
2. Peter Davison
3. Tom Baker

Well, if I was forced to choose, in no particular order…

1. Tom Baker

2. Jon Pertwee

3. OH GOD YOU MONSTER DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN PATRICK TROUGHTON AND SYLVESTER MCCOY

I tend to appreciate Tom Baker (my first Doctor back in 1981), Jon Pertwee, and Sylvester McCoy to the same extent and don’t want to struggle with ranking them more precisely. Patrick Troughton would be in that messy tie for first if only more of his work survived.

NOT EVEN CLOSE. For me it’s:

1) Patrick Troughton

2) Patrick Troughton

3) Patrick Troughton

No…that’s not entirely fair.  It’s probably 1) Pat; 2) Pertwee; 3) Colin Baker.

I never fully warmed to Colin Baker, and the Hartnell/Troughton stories were largely unavaliable to me until relatively recently.
