Armageddon Expo 2012 post-mortem:

Probably the most fun I’ve had at a convention since…2010? Caught up with quite a few people, took a ton of photos, attended a couple of great panels (Karl Urban on Saturday & Yaya Han on Sunday), and scored another wonderful art commission from Jeffrey Cruz. Some awesome cosplay in effect over the weekend - Adventure Time seemed to be the most popular, closely followed by Avengers-themed group cosplay, and Pokemon made a suprisingly strong showing. Had a couple of nice moments with defintive Iron Man artist Bob Layton as well (I suspect mainly ‘cos I plugged his website to someone asking about a commission…!).

Things I need to do:

• Scan & upload aforementioned piece by Cruz
• Sort, edit, upload & tag pix on my Flickr
• Send Yaya Han a follow-up email re: interview for Cosplaynaut
• Catch up on Google Reader feeds (400+ posts to look at, and that was *after* trying to make a start…)

All in all, a very productive and rewarding (but tiring) weekend, and decidedly less stressful than Oz Comic-Con!
